Guided Technical Dive Trips (Open Circuit)

Extreme Watersports offers guided open-circuit technical dive trips for certified technical divers seeking structured experience, advanced dive objectives, and expedition-level support. Our guided technical dives prioritize safety, planning discipline, and controlled execution, allowing divers to focus on performance and exploration.

We provide full technical diving support on all guided trips, including:

  • Multiple gas mixes (Nitrox, Decompression gases, Trimix)
  • Stage and decompression cylinder support
  • Structured dive planning and supervision
  • Team-based technical diving procedures

Guided technical dive trips are available locally (UAE / Fujairah) and as international technical expeditions, with logistics and gas support handled by experienced technical staff.

Open-Circuit Technical Diving Certification

Open-circuit technical diving allows divers to safely exceed recreational depth and time limits through planned decompression, redundancy, and disciplined execution. Unlike recreational diving, technical dives are planned in advance with defined runtimes, gas requirements, and ascent profiles that must be followed precisely.

At Extreme Watersports, technical diving training emphasizes:

  • Precise buoyancy and trim control
  • Controlled ascents and decompression discipline
  • Gas planning and redundancy management
  • Standardized team procedures
  • Repeatable and conservative dive execution

Our technical diving courses are structured to support divers at different stages of progression, ensuring skills are developed before advancing to more complex profiles.

Training Structure & Locations

Technical training follows a structured pathway that combines theory, skill development, and open-water technical dives. Controlled-water environments may be used when required to refine skills or configuration, while the majority of technical dives and advanced execution are conducted in Fujairah, where conditions support deeper open-circuit technical diving.

PADI & TDI Technical Diving Pathways

Extreme Watersports provides technical diving certification through both PADI and TDI, allowing divers to select the agency that best aligns with their certification background and long-term goals. Both agencies are internationally recognized and follow structured technical diving standards.

Our instructors will advise on the most appropriate pathway based on:

  • Current certification level
  • Logged dive experience
  • Equipment configuration preferences
  • Future technical diving objectives

Equipment & Configuration

Open-circuit technical diving requires specialized equipment and standardized configuration. Divers may use twinset or technical sidemount systems, along with stage and decompression cylinders. Equipment requirements are discussed during course planning, and purchases can be staged according to training progression.

Not Sure Where to Start?
